The Nationals, Wizards, Redskins, and DC United all wish the Capitals good luck in the playoffs

Last summer, the Washington Capitals were victorious, bringing home the Stanley Cup. The Capitals were the first DC sports team to win a championship since the 1992 Washington Redskins.

On Thursday, the puck will drop at 7:30 PM, marking the beginning of the Capitals’ defense of the Cup. The team is being supported by all the major sports franchises in the DC area, who wished the Capitals good luck in their back-to-back bid.

DC United’s Steve Birnbaum and Paul Arriola took their allegiance even further, filling out NHL playoff brackets and having the Caps as their winners.

Even the Wizards G-League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, and the Hershey Bears got in on the action.
