The cherry blossoms reached peak bloom on Monday, as forecasted by the National Parks Service. All along the Tidal Basin, delicate pink and white flowers have enveloped the trees, transforming the landscape for a magical two weeks.
I set out on Saturday afternoon to capture images of the blossoms before they disappear. During my photoshoot, a bird landed in the trees and posed with its wings outstretched. In its grip was a stick, probably to line its nest.
Nature is so beautiful, guys.
