The Hershey Bears announced a special bobblehead giveaway for their December 12 home game against the Providence Bruins.
All fans in attendance, courtesy of Members 1st, will receive a John Carlson dual bobblehead, featuring the two-time Calder Cup champion and 2018 Stanley Cup winner in both Hershey Bears and Washington Capitals jerseys.
Carlson rocks a vintage white Bears sweater along with the Capitals’ red wordmark jersey in the bobblehead. It’s up to you whether the likenesses are more approximate than exact.
The game will also mark the second of four times Hershey will wear their new Screaming Bear alternates, an homage to the Capitals’ Screaming Eagle jerseys.
The Carlson bobblehead and alternate jerseys are part of Hershey’s honoring of their current 20-year affiliation with the Capitals this season, which coincided with the start of Alex Ovechkin’s career.
The Capitals played a preseason game against the Philadelphia Flyers at Giant Center in September. The Bears also have a new alternate logo inspired by the Capitals’ vintage Capitol Dome mark at center ice.
