In the second period of the Nashville Predators’ 7-2 rout of the Capitals, fourth liner Rocco Grimaldi was suddenly given the hands and edges of God, scoring a gorgeous spin-o-rama goal.
This is most definitely a goal of the year candidate.
Capitals rookie defenseman Jonas Siegenthaler does his best to stay with Grimaldi, but in the process, screens poor Pheonix Copley.
For Capitals fans, the goal is remiscent of an overtime goal Shane Gersich scored in college.
