The Capitals ruled out Tom Wilson for the second straight game ahead of Saturday night’s tilt against the Blue Jackets. Wilson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury sustained from a Ryan Reaves interference penalty on Tuesday.

Wilson stayed with the team during their road trip but has not been skating. The rest of the forward lines remain the same from Thursday’s 4-2 victory over the Arizona Coyotes

The Capitals also placed TJ Oshie on the injured reserve and called up forward Riley Barber from Hershey.

Andre Burakovsky stays on the first line after scoring the game-winning goal in Arizona on Thursday.

The Capitals’ forwards are a little banged up, Riley Barber may slide into the line up Saturday night if necessary, according to Head Coach Todd Reirden.

On the blueline, The Capitals scratched Christian Djoos in favor of Madison Bowey on the third defensive pairing. Bowey will play alongside Jonas Siegenthaler.

Braden Holtby comes in for Pheonix Copley in net. Copley recorded his first NHL point and made 27 saves in Thursday’s victory over the Coyotes.

This will be the 18 game Wilson misses since the beginning of the season.
