Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis was named CEO of the year by the Washington Business Journal in October. Thursday, the publication released its edition for the week of December 7. Leonsis is on the cover and… [temporarily blinded] oh, why hello there.
The Monumental Sports and Entertainment chairman is showing off his Capitals’ Championship ring.

Leonsis’ cover also features the cheeky headline Ted’s excellent adventure, a play on words from the 1989 movie Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure.
In the photo, Leonsis is wearing his championship ring with the logo facing himself. In school class ring style, the logo is worn facing someone when they still are a student and faces the other way once they graduate.
Leonsis’ other big achievements of the year included the renovation of Capital One Arena, the opening of the Entertainment and Sports Venue at St. Elizabeths, the Washington Mystics making their first ever WNBA Finals, and the Washington Valor winning Arena Bowl XXXI.

Ted went from none of his teams advancing to a championship series to having four in the same summer. Not a bad year.
