Knights goalie Marc-Andre Fleury saved 23 of 26 shots he faced in Washington’s 5-3 loss to Vegas. Fleury’s in-game performance was solid but unremarkable. It was just a satisfactory game that gave MAF his 15th win of the season.
But then, in the post-game celebration, Fleury went too far. As Flower embraced Nate Schmidt, the goalie mocked Evgeny Kuznetsov’s world-famous and universally beloved bird celly.
