If you thought you smelled spray-tan in the air in the District last weekend, you were right.
DJ Pauly D played a show at Echostage on Friday night. And the fist-pumping, gym-tan-laundry-going Jersey Shore alum wore Caps red because apparently T-shirt Time means putting on your favorite Alex Ovechkin jersey.

Pauly D, who is currently a castmate of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, has long had an affiliation with the Capitals and Alex Ovechkin. Pete Kalamoutsos, an owner of Club Glow and a good friend of Ovechkin’s, likely had a role in that.
In 2010, HBO’s 24/7 “Road to the Winter Classic” revealed that the Capitals were using DJ Pauly D’s Beat Dat Beat as their post-game victory song. Brooks Laich can be seen fist-pumping near the end of the video.
In March of 2011, Ovechkin and DJ Pauly D met and took a photo at DC’s Shamrockfest, where DJ Pauly D showed off a Capitals jersey Ovechkin gave him.

The very next day, DJ Pauly D attended a Capitals game and met with several Caps in the locker room after the game, including a shirtless Ovechkin.
