Six players have been reassigned to Hershey Bears after Wednesday’s training camp cuts

Wednesday afternoon, the Capitals made their third round of cuts and reassignments to trim their roster closer to the 23 that will make the opening night roster.

The six players re-assinged to Hershey are Connor Hobbs, Lucas Johansen, Axel Jonsson-Fjallby, Garrett Pilon, Tyler Lewington, Jusso Ikonen, Michael Sgarbossa, and Colby Williams.

Both Lewington and Sgarbossa must pass through waivers before returning to Hershey. They can be claimed by any team in the next 24-hours before clearing the waiver wire.

Only eight defenseman remain at Capitals training camp, including prospect Jonas Siegenthaler. Madison Bowey must clear waivers if the club decides to send him down to Hershey.

The Caps have to submit their final 23 man roster on October 2 before their first regular season game on October 3.
