Braden Holtby’s new mask for the 2018-19 season features the old Capitol dome logo

Last week, former Capitals backup goalie Philipp Grubauer unveiled his new mask for is new team courtesy of Swedish airbrush artist Dave Gunnarsson.

On Wednesday, the Capitals posted Braden Holtby’s new bucket for the 2018-19 season on the team’s Twitter account.

The helmet prominently features the dome of the Capitol building, as well as the old Capitals logo featuring the dome on the sides and a multitude of stars.

Holtby’s masks in the past have been designed by Gunnarsson, including his 2016 mask featuring the 70’s Capitals logo, and a tribute to the Tragically Hip’s frontman Gord Downie.
