Friday, Sports Fan Island released another new bobblehead. And it’s mind-bendingly awesome once again.
The bobblehead is of TJ Oshie riding the metro with the Stanley Cup. Instant classic.
Here are detail shots of the new bobblehead.
The bobblehead is based off the viral story of Oshie and teammate Matt Niskanen riding Metro to Games Three and Four of the Stanley Cup Final. During Oshie’s second ride underground, the multi-million dollar athlete did not have enough exit fair to exit, necessitating help from a WMATA employee to get to the arena.
The officially licensed bobblehead is $44.99 and available for preorder. The bobbleheads will ship on November 1.
Sports Fan Island has several other creative bobbleheads available, including a Devante Smith-Pelly championship belt bobblehead, an Evgeny Kuznetsov “birdman” bobble (the arms can physically wave), and a Braden Holtby bobble celebrating The Save. These bobbleheads, including a super happy Alex Ovechkin first lifting the Stanley Cup, can be bundled together for a cheaper price on SFI’s site.
