The day after the Washington Capitals won their first Stanley Cup, the team was gifted a symbolic championship belt via longtime wrestler Triple H.
Once the belt physically arrived at the team’s practice facility, the strap quickly made its way around Devante Smith-Pelly’s waist, where it stayed through the rest of June.
Friday, Sports Fan Island released a new bobblehead of Devante Smith-Pelly, celebrating DSP’s iconic look with the championship belt.
Here are detail shots of the new bobblehead.
Ceramic DSP also shows off his signature gap-toothed smile while holding up the Stanley Cup
The officially licensed bobblehead is $44.99 and available for preorder. The bobbleheads will ship in November.
Sports Fan Island has several other creative bobbleheads available, including an Evgeny Kuznetsov “birdman” bobblehead (the arms can physically wave) and a Braden Holtby bobble celebrating The Save. These bobbleheads, including a super happy Alex Ovechkin first lifting the Stanley Cup, can be bundled together for a cheaper price on SFI’s site.
Good luck not buying them all.
