There’s an Evgeny Kuznetsov ‘birdman’ bobblehead available for preorder. The arms bobble too.

The Washington Capitals became Stanley Cup champions in June for the first time in franchise history. For many fans, that moment was a dream come true, but there has also been an unforeseen, negative side effect: the draining of bank accounts as fans buy All The Stanley Cup Championship Things.

On Wednesday, Sports Fan Island released two fantastic Capitals bobbleheads for presale that will not help this phenomenon. One bobblehead recreates the moment Alex Ovechkin roars as he lifts the Stanley Cup. The other is Evgeny Kuznetsov doing his bird walk celly.

Take a look.

Some quick specs on the bobbleheads: each one is $44.95, each one is eight inches tall and hand painted, including a base commemorating the Stanley Cup victory, and each are classified as “not a toy.”

I’ll have to disagree on the “not a toy” sentiment, because the Kuzy bobblehead also has bobbling arms, which I would futz with all day.

Sports Fan Island also has a Braden Holtby “The Save” bobblehead. It runs a bit cheaper at $39.99 and preorders ship in October if you can’t wait to get your hands on a Capitals Stanley Cup champions bobblehead.
