Before the 2017-18 season began, Alex Ovechkin uttered a defiant phrase that would define the Caps season.
“We’re not going to be suck this year,” Ovechkin said.
Eight months later, the Caps won their first Stanley Cup and Ovechkin said this to conclude his speech at the team’s championship parade.

The phrase must mean a lot to Ovechkin because on Wednesday night, the Great 8 rocked RMNB’s “We’re Not Going To Be Suck” shirt while signing Stanley Cup champion merch for Fanatics – one of his business partners.

Ovechkin first wore the RMNB shirt in November and again in December after the Capitals took over first place in the Metro division.
Ovi’s currently back in North America to prepare for baby O’s arrival. According to Sports Business Daily, the Ovechkins are staying at their apartment in Miami for a vacation. They will have their baby, which is due in August, in the United States.
