Last night, the Capitals won their first Stanley Cup in their 44-year franchise history. After finally achieving the ultimate goal after years of frustrations and disappointments, the team was obviously ready to party it up with their prize.
To do that, the ecstatic champs decided to parade the Cup through the MGM Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, led by their fearless leader Alex Ovechkin clad in a pink button-up and shorts.

People cheered for the Caps as they strutted through the resort and Ovechkin jubilantly lifted the Cup above his head and screamed once again. Andre Burakovsky and Jakub Vrana marched behind their captain with their arms slung across each other’s shoulders.

Burra and Vrana joined Ovi in leading a singsong chant, excitedly pumping their arms in the air and jumping around. Fans took pictures with Ovi as he walked with the Cup, which, let’s be honest, he’s might never put down if it’s up to him.
It’s significant it was the MGM Resort because the company threw some shade at the team on Twitter before the Stanley Cup Final. MGM Resort also dressed their replica Statue of Liberty with a Vegas Golden Knights jersey.
