The Caps’ lead didn’t last long. Three minutes after Jakub Vrana’s breakaway, Nate Schmidt got some lucky bounces (for him, not us) to tie the game. No worries, though.
Alexander Mikhailovich Ovechkin, Captain of the Caps, spit in the dust, whispered nyet, and did scored his 15th goal of the playoffs to put the Caps back up.
You’ll never guess where the shot came from.
Okay, it’s the Ovi Spot. You guessed it, didn’t you? You’re so smart.
Ovechkin himself drew the penalty to put the Caps on the PP, attracting a trip from McNabb as he made a solo rush on MAF’s net.
Once up on the man advantage, Nicklas Backstrom served a puck to the Ovi Spot, where goals are made.
Ovechkin ran on the ice to celebrate.
What a human.
