A few days ago, legendary Redskins coach Joe Gibbs shot a video wearing a Capitals t-shirt and it’s for a great cause.
Gibbs is making a wager on the Stanley Cup Final with his top NASCAR team driver, Kyle Busch – a Las Vegas native.

They were celebrating in victory lane together, but the @NHL #StanleyCup has caused an in-house rivalry between former @Redskins Coach Joe Gibbs & @KyleBusch.
It’s a Washington @Capitals fan vs. a #VegasBorn @GoldenKnights fan.
Now they’ve made a friendly wager for charity. pic.twitter.com/i5hB7sEVZo

If the Caps win the Stanley Cup, Busch will donate to Gibbs’ foundation, Youth for Tomorrow. According to its website, the foundation “meet[s] the needs of children and families by offering a continuum of services as an alternative to the nation’s fragmented and overburdened child and family care systems.” YFT is based in Bristow, Virginia.
However, if the Golden Knights win the series, Gibbs will donate to the Kyle & Samantha Busch Bundle of Joy Fund. The money goes to help couples struggling with infertility in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Caps will try to even the series with Vegas Wednesday night in Game Two. The series will not only decide who will lift the Stanley Cup but which community will see some extra money come into their charities.
