Yes, the Tampa Bay Lightning’s dress code is totally real (Photo)

Earlier this week, we reported that the Tampa Bay Lightning were getting pretty aggressive to make sure that no visiting Caps fans can buy tickets or rock the red. In fact, the Lightning are enforcing a dress code.

It sounds crazy, but NBC 4 Washington’s Sherree Burruss has physical evidence that this is really happening.

This notecard from inside Amalie Arena reads:

We ask that guests adhere to the club’s dress code policy and wear Tampa Bay Lightning or neutral apparel only. Visiting team apparel is not allowed in the Lexus Lounge, or its corresponding seats. Guests may check their apparel with a guest services staff member at the entrance to the club. Guests may also choose replacement apparel provided by Amalie Arena if desired.

Thank you & GO BOLTS!

The dress code doesn’t seem to have intimidated many from wearing red however.

If you’re a Capitals fan that went to the game and were actually affected by this dress code tonight, what did you wear to the game? Let us know in the comments.
