A few days after his NHL debut and being given the “rookie treatment” during warmups, Shane Gersich is the center of another Washington Capitals prank.
As the Caps took morning skate at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Gersich walked out to the ice with a sharpied visor.
Man, it can be rough for rookies in the NHL. Someone did this with a Sharpie. Hahaha. pic.twitter.com/u67EbF0V5c

An unknown teammate colored in the rooks visor with a black sharpie in the shape of classic wayfarer sunglasses. Gersich took the prank like a champ.
We think the future is bright for Gersich, but during this morning skate, it was very, very dark.
