On Thursday, the Capitals clinched their 2018 playoff spot thanks to a Penguins overtime win against the New Jersey Devils.

Tonight, the Penguins once again hold the Caps’ playoff fate in their hands. With a regulation win over Pittsburgh, the Capitals can clinch the Metro division title.

Here’s hoping Ovechkin’s 1000th game magic leads to a win.
