The Capitals want to immediately throw away their effort, or lack thereof, against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night. Lets hope they don’t completely throw it away because they need to remember not to play like that ever again. Will they be able to bounce back against the basement dwelling Sabres?

It’s an early one. Tune into NBCSWA at 3 PM. I’ll have your recap.

    Record 17-31-11 33-18-7
    Shot Attempt % 46.2% 47.6%
    PDO 98.2 102.2
    Power Play 17.4% 20.9%
    Penalty Kill 79.3% 79.9%

    Projected Lines

Jakub Vrana was back with his second line friends at practice and Grubauer was in the starter’s net, as per Isabelle Khurshudyan.

    Ovechkin – Backstrom – Wilson
    Vrana – Kuznetsov – Oshie
    Connolly – Eller – Burakovsky
    Stephenson – Beagle – DSP

    Djoos – Carlson
    Orlov – Niskanen
    Orpik – Bowey

    Grubauer
