Former Capitals defenseman Nate Schmidt returns to Capital One Arena on Sunday. The game marks Nate’s first appearance in front of his former home fans since being selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the Expansion Draft last June.
From our Talkin’ Schmidt column to our shirts and poster, we adore Nate and we think you do too. Not only was Nate a good player, he was gracious with his time with fans and had an infectious personality that made hockey fun.
So to welcome Nate back, we made signs. Sure, Alex Ovechkin is The Great 8, but Schmidt is definitely The Gr88 Nate.
We would really appreciate if you printed the signs out and held them up during warmups tomorrow afternoon.
Here’s what you have to do to join in on the fun.
