7:51 into the second period, Ovechkin tied the game 2-2, after deflecting a Brooks Orpik shot past Harri Säteri. Ovi beat Aaron Ekblad to the front of the net and, using his fantastic hand-eye coordination, hit the puck with the blade of his stick.

Ovechkin leads the NHL in goals heading into the All-Star Break. The goal also marked Ovi’s 13th straight 30-goal season to start his career, putting him in elite company with Wayne Gretzky and Mike Gartner.
