Washington Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton may be raising a future hockey player instead of a cleanup hitter.
Last week, the Eatons filmed their son Brayden playing on a makeshift rink they made inside their house. Brayden may only be about a year removed from learning how to walk, but he already knows how to score a clutch hockey goal. And celly.

Watch as Brayden dekes around his papa’s, let’s be honest, terrible defense, and slides the puck into the bottom corner of the net. After throwing his hands in the air in celebration, Brayden runs right to grandma for a hockey hug because that’s how they do it in the pros.
Brayden then does his best Braden Holtby victory celebration by softly head-butting his father.
Brayden and Braden: They’re twins except one of them spells their name with a y.
Adam Eaton would later go on MLB Network to talk about his rehab from injury and his thoughts about next season. He also chatted more about his son’s love for hockey.
“He’s a big Caps fan,” Eaton said. “He tries to shoot like Ovechkin… He loves hockey. He loves any sport with a stick.”
Ever since arriving in DC, the Eatons have fallen in love with hockey.
In December, while in the area for the Nationals Winterfest, Eaton watched the Caps play against the Anaheim Ducks. He even visited with the boys while they were playing in Detroit.
In other news, Eaton and his wife Katie recently announced a new addition to the family in a video similar to Erik Karlsson’s slap shot announcement.
Brayden will now have a little brother to shoot on and play goalie!
Congratulations to the whole family.
