Wednesday night, Capitals players Braden Holtby, Nicklas Backstrom, and Tom Wilson joined DC101’s Elliot Segal at Barnard Elementary School.
The So Kids Can charity event focused on educating children and their parents on good nutrition and different ways to exercise.
The best part of the evening was a relay race run by the three Caps players.

Look at how much these three are having.
Also: kids, Braden Holtby’s running stride is definitely worth emulating.
The event was held to help promote Backstrom, Wilson, Holtby, and Elliot Segal’s chairty initiative. During the 2017-18 season, the four are raising money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Washington. For every regular season Capitals win, $50 will be donated. During the playoffs, that number doubles to $100.
The charity was originally founded in 2008 by Elliot Segal and former Capital Mike Green.
