At the end of their road trip, the San Jose Sharks have one final stop to play the Capitals tonight in D.C. The Sharks are currently killin’ it on the penalty-kill at 87.7%, but coming off an expensive loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Some might say they’re chomping at the bit to get back on track, while the Capitals are focused on nursing some injuries back to health. Andre Burakovsky might be back soon and Travis Boyd was recalled from Hershey to take the place of injured Chandler Stephenson. Boyd currently has 3 goals and 17 assists in 23 games with the Bears.
Game is at 7 PM and yo’ boi Pete will have your recap.

Storylines
- Evgeny Kuznetsov is hot, hot, hot right now with six goals in the last eight games.
- It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, not the holidays, it’s the annual teddy bear toss. Liam O’Brien was the one to score, cuing the bombardment of plush bears.
- Viktor Arvidsson is a good guy and helped a fan propose to his gal.
- Pete did a great dive into what the heck is going on with the Washington Capitals. Spoiler alert, there is a lot.
- Travis Boyd has been called up from Hershey after Chandler Stephenson got a tad banged up last game. *cue the Nathan Walker complaints*
- Gina Carlson bravely opened up about her pregnancy challenges. She is such a rock star and offers hope and faith to others that might be going through a similar situation.
- There is a 16-year-old goalie that made 100 saves and still lost the dang game. This is the result of a higher power. God did not want this kid to win.
- Holiday toy drive alert!!! If you’re attending the game on Friday, make sure you show up with a new toy for a kid in need….and a Braden Holtby poster.
- NATHAN WALKER LOOKS WAY TOO HAPPY TO BE AN EDMONTON OILER
Favorites of 2017
I’m going to follow in the footsteps of Good Tweet Pete and use this space to share your favorites of 2017. Chime in!
Last time, Pete covered his favorite album of the year. This time we’re going to cover favorite movie of 2017.
This was hard because I saw some good ones (*cough Get Out *cough*) and I know that this might change after I see I, Tonya because the Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding drama fuels me.
I am a sucker for a really good “coming-of-age” movie, especially ones that I can relate my own life to. I saw Lady Bird not too long ago and folks, let me tell you something. It was really, really good. It will make you laugh so hard you spit your tea out and will make you cry so hard you won’t be able to stand up immediately when the credits roll. I’m not the biggest movie person on the block (heck, one of my all time favorites is the Golden Globe nominated masterpiece You’ve Got Mail) but this was something special.
Anyway, see it as soon as you can.
