On March 3, the Washington Capitals Capitals and Toronto Maple Leafs will play an outdoor game at the Naval Academy in Annapolis as part of the NHL Stadium Series.
Friday morning, the NHL announced that at Navy’s football game versus Southern Methodist University, the logo for said Stadium Series game will be announced, along with the crests for both teams.
Caps defensemen John Carlson and Matt Niskanen will be in attendance for the announcement.

This Stadium Series game will be the third NHl outdoor game the Caps have participated in. They have previously played in the 2011 Winter Classic in Pittsburgh and hosted the 2015 Winter Classic at Nationals Park against the Chicago Blackhawks. Washington won both games.

In addition, both the Capitals and Maple Leafs team crests will also be unveiled for the outdoor game.
In May, the NHL announced that the Capitals will host the Maple Leafs in a regular-season outdoor game will be played at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, home of the NCAA Division I, Navy Midshipmen, on Saturday, Mar. 3, 2018. The game will be broadcast in primetime on NBC in the United States and on CBC and TVA Sports in Canada at 8 p.m. ET.
