The Capitals are hitting the road to play the Buffalo Sabres tonight, which will hopefully extend their winning streak to four games. The Capitals gained two points last night to pull ahead of the Flyers in the standings, but it was a struggle against the last-place Arizona Coyotes in overtime.
Just like the Capitals, the Sabres are beat up and will most likely to be playing without four of their top six defensemen. Hopefully, the Capitals can improve on the power play and snag two easy points tonight. But for this year’s Caps team, that’s never a given.
Game is at 7 PM on NBCSN and Pat will have your recap.

Ugly Sweaters
It’s that time of year! Get yourself one of the sweetest lookin’ ugly sweater for the upcoming holiday season. Do not wait until the last minute and stress yourself out, like I do every year. They are gorgeous, but I am also very biased.
Storylines
- Need one more look at the numbers from last night? Warning…they’re not pretty (except John Carlson. You go girl).
- That Alex Ovechkin guy isn’t too shabby and his goal last night was kiiiind of a big deal.
- Season ticket holders can get a Washington Capitals Gravy boat for their Thanksgiving Day festivities. Or for any other day that you put gravy in a gravy boat, which doesn’t seem very often?
- I understand that sometimes the Montreal Canadiens make people want to scream and rip their clothes off in anger, but maybe Jonathan Drouin should wait until he isn’t on the bench anymore?
- The Hershey Bears have Vitek Vanecek back after a small lil’ rehab stint for his lower-body.
- Tom Wilson versus the entire Schenn family: A history.
- If you missed the big ol’ Colorado-Ottawa-Nashville trade news that happened the other day, don’t worry you can catch up!
- TJ Oshie might hit over 30 goals again…but he’s doing it a tad differently this time.
- Shining star and defensive prospect Connor Hobbs is out for a while with a fractured wrist.
- John Carlson scored the overtime winning goal last night, but how did it happen?
- Leni Oshie is the cutest baby on the block. In other news, water is wet.
A Little Love for the Zebras
Last night, the Islanders visited the Colorado Avalanche and there was an entire section that dressed up like referees and cheered very loudly every time a whistle was blown. This is easily one of my all time favorite things I’ve ever seen.

They drank some beers, brought some signs, and even cheered the referees on.
