You. Guys. Washington Capitals forward Brooks Laich is about to be back in the NHL.
Thursday, after a revelation that Jeff Carter’s injury was worse than originally thought, LA Kings Insider Jon Rosen reported via multiple sources that Laich was being offered a contract by the organization.
Carter’s injury occurred Wednesday night against the Montreal Canadiens. As the Kings forward carried the puck into the zone, Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry stood him up at the blue line and delivered a check into Carter’s side. The impact of the hit caused Petry’s skate to go into the air and strike Carter in the bottom of his left leg. Sportsnet’s John Shannon reported that the injury was tendon damage.
Thursday afternoon, the Kings announced that Carter would be out “indefinitely.”

In one preseason game with the Kings, Laich scored a game-winning overtime goal.
Laich has been spending his free time “good deeding.”
Just been good deeding my way through the day today – and man does it make me feel good, lights the soul on fire!! 💯🔥
