One of the most heart-warming moments in hockey is when NHL players partner with Make-a-Wish to make kids dreams come true. Yesterday, the Edmonton Oilers did something that one little fan will never forget.
Gage Foster, a Make-a-Wish kid from Ontario, had one wish: to skate with his favorite goalie, Cam Talbot. Talbot and the Oilers weren’t letting distance get in the way, and flew Gage to Edmonton to make his wish come true.
Foster wasn’t the only one touched by the afternoon. After the two skated around the Rogers Place ice, Talbot opened up about how much it meant to him.
“Today I had the honour of meeting Gage,” Talbot wrote on his Twitter account. “And truth be told I think he had a bigger impact on me than I ever could on him. Keep fighting buddy.”
Thanks for visiting us at @RogersPlace today Gage. We had a blast hanging out with you & hope you had fun skating with #Oilers @ctalbot33! pic.twitter.com/fPtiFuugoX

I just might be an Oilers fan now. Well done, team.
