While those of us in North America are eagerly awaiting the start of the NHL season, the KHL regular season got underway this week in Russia.
Among those keeping tabs on the start of the KHL is Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov, whose former team, Traktor Chelyabinsk lost Friday 2-1 to Ilya Samsonov’s Metallurg Magnitogorsk – the team’s first L of the year.
Kuzya showed his displeasure of the loss through Instagram, posting these photos.
@hc_traktor вот кого вам не хватило сегодня для победы👍#isitoctoberyet🏒

Kuznetsov, wearing a number 92 emblazoned tank helmet and an olive green tarp as a cape, poses like an unstoppable Russian soldier or Star Wars character. He also wears red sandals with socks. Like a dad.
“@hc_traktor This is who you needed today to win! #isitoctoberyet,” the Caps center wrote.
Looks like someone is eager to get back on the ice for the 2017-18 NHL season.
