Over the weekend, the 2017 first overall draft pick and Caps prospect were chillin’ at an airport after a boys weekend.

Before Nico posted his weekend tweet, he finished up his first Prospect Camp with the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation.

Siegenthaler, who’s in the mix for a potential roster spot on the Capitals next season, also participated.

The two Swiss players have played together many times on Switzerland’s national teams. The two were on Switzerland’s U18 team in 2014-15 and the U20 team in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
In June, Hischier became the first Swiss-born player to be selected with the first overall pick in the NHL Draft. In response to Hischier being selected, his buddy Jonas Siegenthaler told NHL.com, “It’s great for Swiss hockey. Everybody in Switzerland is freaking out because of that.”
