Back in the Spring of 2014, RMNB featured a series of illustrations I made featuring Game of Thrones/medieval fantasy style sigils for NHL teams. The images were surprisingly popular, gaining attention across the hockey community. Since then, I have expanded the series to include former teams and teams from the NWHL.
Three years later, with the expansion of the league to Vegas, it’s time to add a new Great House to the set. And what better time to debut the design than on the day Season 7 of the popular television series makes its premiere!
The design features three knights helmets in the slate, gold, and white of the Vegas logo on a field of black. With the addition of Vegas, some updates have also been made to the entire set of 31 teams.

As you can see, the Coyotes have been moved up the alphabetical layout due to the changing of “Phoenix” to “Arizona”. Montreal and the NY Rangers also got an artwork update to designs a little less similar to their current logos. The Canadiens sigil is based off the logo they used in 1924, and the Rangers sigil gives a tribute to the Statue of Liberty (a slight nod to the alternative logo they used in the late 90’s/early 2000’s).
The new poster is available to order in my etsy shop, should you wish to adorn your walls.
Hope you enjoy the new artwork! And don’t forget, friends: Winter is Coming.
