Ahead of Game One Thursday, the Washington Capitals gave out red glow sticks again to all 18,506 fans in attendance. As we noted before, a white oblong piece of foam is not something you’d consider a great collectible, but when used in harmony by a sold-out Verizon Center, the effect is stunning.
Just take a look for yourself.
Last night during NBCSN’s live coverage of the game, they showed the entire pregame ceremony, perfectly capturing the red firefly affect.
