For over four years, we have been reporting on the best hockey beard ever. The Ovechkin Beard Guy, who also has an actual name, Eric Brooks, has been shaping his chin folicles in support of the Caps for what seems like forever now.
Tonight, the Ovechkin Beard Guy will has a new design on display and you’re going to love it.
Just look at this.

“It took about an hour and a half this afternoon,” Brooks said. “The A was really, really hard to do. Also, I had to share the bathroom with a coworker who was getting ready for her shift, which was definitely awkward.”
“The A was hard because the little part in the middle was free-formed with my finger,” Brooks continued. “It’s hard to explain, but all the other letters are fairly simple to design.”
His white hairspray ran out while he was applying, so it’s not as white as he would have hoped, but we think it’s pretty perfect.
Brooks even made up his own font for the beard letters, appropriately named “Hairvetica.”
Brooks met up with the Horn Guy, aka Sam Wolk, for an epic pre-game happy hour.
I can’t wait to see what Eric does next, but for now, I hope he brings our boys some good beard luck in Denver!
