It appears Gudas trimmed his beard during the final week of 2019. The Czech defenseman debuted his less-Gude facial hair during the Caps’ game against the Carolina Hurricanes on December 28.

After the game, the trimmed beard was even more evident when Gudas spoke to reporters postgame.
