There were some pushes and shoves during the first period of the Tuesday night game against the Minnesota Wild. But, things escalated quickly between Tom Wilson and Chris Stewart when pushing and shoving led to some stitches and blood.
After a few cross checks back and forth, Stewart and Wilson immediately started punching each other.
The fight would end very fast and with blood running down Wilson’s face. Wilson was sent to the locker room for a few stitches and returned to the game soon after the second period started.
There was some chatter about why Wilson was bleeding. Turns out, it was Stewart’s nail to Wilson’s face. Yuck.
