Thursday evening the Washington Capitals will host the Columbus Blue Jackets. Y’all should probably buckle up because this is going to be a GOOD game. The Jackets will be fighting for two points to tie the Capitals in the standings. If they fail to get the win, a loser point will put them in a tie with Pittsburgh. And no, no this these aren’t just the division standings, these are the league standings. This further supports the idea that the current NHL playoff format is the most ridiculous set-up of all time.
Despite the fact that the two teams are performing almost identically, the Blue Jackets have a slight edge with their goalie Sergei Bobrovsky who leads the NHL in both save percentage (.931) and total wins (39).
Puck drop is just past 7 PM on CSN. Be thankful the game is at the Verizon Center with ZERO sign of that stupid cannon.
