Kevin Shattenkirk hasn’t missed a beat since he joined the Capitals before the trade deadline. Tying the game on Thursday night, Shattenkirk exchanged a quick give-and-go with Brett Connolly, who sank his 14th of the year.

It’s a rush goal, and a nice one at that. Conolly hands it off to Shattenkirk, who returns the favor with a perfectly placed pass. Connolly just has to direct the shot on net.
Shattenkirk has 34 assists this season, three of them with his new club, and they’ve come in three consecutive games.
