Finally back in the Verizon Center the Caps took on the Edmonton Oilers and seem to have found their footing again after that dumb bye week.
The first period started off a bit boring until the most glorious goal of all time came from Tom Wilson. You read that correctly…Tom Wilson, with assists from Orlov and Chorney.
Didn’t take long for the Oilers to answer back in the second period with a messy goal from Leon Draisaitl.
The third period happened, and Justin Williams delivered with a gorgeous puck to the upper corner of the net.
Caps beat Oilers 2-1.
#Caps Justin Williams has tallied six points in his last eight games (2/5-2/24: 2g, 4a).
