The Washington Capitals are absolutely on fire, folks. After scoring seven goals against the Penguins Monday, the Caps went out and did it again against the St. Louis Blues.

Let me hit you up with some asinine stats. The Caps have scored five or more goals in eight of their last 11 games. They’ve also scored six or more goals in four of their last nine.

According to Tarik El-Bashir, 18 different Capitals have scored during the last 11 games. According to Ben Raby, the Caps have scored 25 times in the last four games and none of those tallies have come from Alex Ovechkin’s stick (6 assists).

Thursday in St. Louis, the Capitals chased goaltender Jake Allen twice. In the same game. Every Caps forward tallied a point by the second period.

I’m thinking this good luck can’t last forever so let’s enjoy this while it lasts. Here are all the Capitals goals from tonight.

    Goal 1 – Andre Burakovsky

Andre Burakovsky got the scoring started 5:37 into the first period. The Burracuda tossed a shot at the net that eluded Jake Allen. The five-hole goal was Burakovsky’s eighth goal of the season. The Swedish forward is on a three-game goal streak.

    Goal 2 – Jay Beagle

2:04 later, Jay Beagle put the Caps up 2-0 after Daniel Winnik found the hardworking center wide open in the slot. Blues Head Coach Ken Hitchock decided to pull Jake Allen immediately after the tally. Allen sat for the next 2:22 of game time. It did not help.

    Goal 3 – TJ Oshie

3:47 into the second period, TJ Oshie scored his 16th goal of the season after receiving a beautiful feed from Nicklas Backstrom. Allen thought Backstrom was dishing the puck to Alex Ovechkin, and slid out of position. Oshie skated to a better position in the slot and deposited the puck into the back of the net on his backhand.

    Goal 4 – Brett Connolly

3:46 later, Brett Connolly scored on a breakaway after Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson blew a tire in the defensive zone. The tally chased Jake Allen for a second time. After scoring nine goals all of last year, Connolly already has eight in 31 games.

    Goal 5 – Marcus Johansson

    Turnover. Goal. #CapsBlues on @csnma pic.twitter.com/nOnnLrAKw3

    — Washington Capitals (@Capitals) January 20, 2017

11 seconds later, Marcus Johansson scored on backup goalie Carter Hutton. After the Blues turned the puck over in the middle of the ice, the Swedish forward skated the puck to the slot and sniped a shot past Hutton stick side. After tallying 17 goals last season, Johansson has 15 in his first 45 games this season. Mojo’s career high in goals was 20 set in 2014-15.

    Goal 6 – Justin Williams

With 6:30 remaning in the second period, Caps forward Justin Williams extended the Capitals’ lead to 6-1, rifling a shot from TJ Oshie’s normal spot on the power play. After holding the puck along the boards, Evgeny Kuznetsov found Williams wide open in the slot. The goal was Williams’ 16th of the season.

    Goal 7 – Evgeny Kuznetsov

Finally, Evgeny Kuznetsov completed the scoring for the Capitals 6:20 into the third period. The Russian centerman’s wrist shot was deflected into the top of the net off Alexander Steen’s stick.

    Yep.

It was just one of those nights for the Caps.
