Monday morning the Capitals announced that this year they will be hosting their annual “Hockey N’ Heels” night on Thursday January 12 at Kettler Capitals Iceplex. The event is open to members of the “Caps Scarlet” fan club, and includes instructional sessions and chances to meet with select player and coaching staff.
Several Caps players and coaches will be leading the drills and presentations including Brett Connolly, Philipp Grubauer, Daniel Winnik, Nate Schmidt, Goaltending Coach Mitch Korn, and Head Coach Barry Trotz.

The Washington Capitals Scarlet Caps presented by Giant will host Hockey ’n Heels on Thursday, Jan. 12, from 6:00-9:30 p.m. at Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va. Players and coaches scheduled to participate include Brett Connolly, Philipp Grubauer, goaltending coach Mitch Korn, Nate Schmidt, head coach Barry Trotz and Daniel Winnik.
Hockey ’n Heels is held each season exclusively for members of Scarlet Caps and features instructional sessions and on-ice demonstrations targeted towards the Capitals’ female audience.
The night will be divided into sessions of on-ice demonstrations featuring Capitals players and off-ice presentations featuring coaches, broadcast talent and Capitals alumni. Hockey ’n Heels on-ice demonstrations will feature the opportunity to play broomball, take face offs with current and former Washington Capitals players and a lesson in goaltending.
All attendees will receive an exclusive Scarlet Caps wine opener courtesy of Giant.
