From winning the Vezina Trophy to “getting” into a fight, Braden Holtby has seemingly done everything a goalie can do during his time in Washington, minus winning the Stanley Cup and scoring a goal.
Well, courtesy of the NHL Public Relation’s twitter, Holtby had another first tonight. With his 30-save outing against Ottawa Saturday, Holtby posted back-to-back shutouts for the first time in his NHL career.

Thursday, Holtby also shutout the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-0, making 29 stops. The Blue Jackets had won 16-straight games coming into that night.
Holtby is now tied with Tuukka Rask and Devan Dubnyk for the league lead in shutouts with five. Holtby also ranks eighth in wins (18) and tenth in save percentage (.931).
