After last night’s game against the New York Islanders in Brooklyn, the Washington Capitals remained in New York and had some fun out on the town. In the morning, several team members visited the New York Stock Exchange. They met Mad Money’s Jim Cramer.
What an experience today at the NYSE! What a place, and we got to meet the legend @jimcramer! Also, Thanks to @RyanGreenNYC pic.twitter.com/Yb4HSn2QjS

At lunch, the Caps went to what appears to be a New York Rangers bar, Percy’s BBQ and Darts, and held a team building event. Reporter Alex Ovechkin has your scoop.
Video
A few observations:
- In the video, each player is wearing a different colored shirt which features a live-traced illustration of Will Ferrell with the Capitals logo underneath. Ferrell has a dart in his neck, which is a scene from the movie Old School.
- Ovechkin holds up his camera and asks Barry Trotz to say a few words. Trotz, thinking it’s a selfie, just stares and smiles until Ovechkin explains.
- Evgeny Kuznetsov (and about half the team) try to avoid the camera, but there’s no escaping this.
- Ovechkin shows healthy scratch Andre Burakovsky — he of a 26-game goal-less streak — drinking a beer before noon.
- “Just throw it, Jojo.”
- Daniel Winnik makes a cameo just to show how dapper he looks in a cardigan.
- Ovechkin refers to Matt Niskanen as “Skin” because apparently two-syllable nicknames take too much effort to say.
- In other nickname news, Ovechkin calls TJ Oshie “Osh Babe,” Brooks Orpik “Batya,” and Tom Wilson both “Willy” and “Mr. Perfect” which used to be Justin Williams’ nickname. He also says “Keno” to someone not on screen.
- Finally, Ovi says “‘sup man” to the caterer. Overall, this is my new favorite Instagram Story ever.
The team of Braden Holtby and Massage Therapist Rob Brown were victorious.
Thanks @PERCYSBBQAVEA for the hospitality and darts 🎯 this afternoon. Congrats to our dart champions Rob Brown/Braden Holtby. #RockTheRed pic.twitter.com/SnweoaGVV4
