After the Capitals’ 3-2 loss to the Blue Jackets Sunday, Barry Trotz took to the media to voice his displeasure about Nick Foligno’s embellishment in the third period. If you remember, Nick Backstrom took a penalty for high sticking (even though it wasn’t) in the third period which then ultimately lead to the Blue Jackets’s last-minute, game-winning goal.
Monday, because there is a Just And Loving God, Blue Jackets Head Coach John Tortorella was given his chance to respond. It’s exactly what you would expect from hockey’s most cuddly coach.
“I read it – quit whining,” Tortorella said to the Blue Jackets Dispatch, in response to Trotz. “Quit whining, that’s all I have to say.”
Ohhhhhh boy, oh boy. This man, of all people, is out here thinking he can talk about whining? This is the same man that was so HEATED during a Calgary game that he tried to break into their locker room during the first intermission.
Is that not enough for you? Here are the Top 10 John Tortorella Moments.
Need even more? Here’s Torts Gone Wild at a Capitals game.
