Monday, Evgeny Kuznetsov scored his first goal in the World Cup of Hockey. Kuzy took the puck end-to-end before depositing the puck past Matt Murray on his forehand.
Then the real magic happened. Kuznetsov — who has celebrated goals in the past by kayaking, playing dead, and doing push ups — decided to flap his arms up and down. Let’s call it the Funky Chicken.
The NHL’s Twitter account was very impressed.

After the game, Kuznetsov said the celebration was “from FIFA.”

Kuznetsov was asked about his goal celebration: "If you play FIFA, you know."

The FIFA celebration is actually called the “bird walk.” Here’s what it looks like in the video game.
That’s sad because I thought Kuzy was trying to tell us through his celebration that he was a closet Nelly Furtado fan.
What a goal and what an even better celly.
