It’s that wonderful time of year again. On this beautiful Saturday, September 17th, we celebrate the 31st birthday of Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin.
For the last six years, we at RMNB have asked: what do you get the millionaire athlete who has it all? You give him silly Photoshops, poorly executed noodle art, and weird tributes in the comments of an even weirder blog (named after something he said ten years ago).
This year we once again want your birthday cards. But like last year, we also want to expand it to your own kind words and personal stories about Ovechkin. What has Ovi done to make you fall in love with the sport? Was it a special gesture? Was it a sick unbelievable goal he scored? His joy and enthusiasm for this sport is what makes his time spent here in DC special. He deserves to know the impact he’s had.
