Barry Trotz and Team Canada joined a biker gang

Team Canada has made its way to Pittsburgh for its World Cup of Hockey exhibition game against Team Russia, and it seems the Team Canada coaches have decided to form a biker gang.

Most notably in the photo you can see on the far right, best for last, is Caps head coach Barry Trotz.

Ok, maybe it’s not a real biker gang, but according to Sportsnet senior hockey writer Chris Johnston, Team Canada’s coaches have been renting bicycles every day.

Note that Claude Julien, the head coach of the Boston Bruins, went out and bought (presumably) a cycling shirt that features the word “Pittsburgh” and what appears to be a photograph of the city’s skyline. Do you think that one will stay in his rotation when training rides move to Boston for the NHL’s regular season?

But kudos to these boys (mainly Barry) for gettin’ on that fitness grind, and congratulations to Coach Julien on winning the coaches’ “Tour de Pittsburgh.”

Team Canada will play Team Russia at 7:30 p.m tonight.
