TJ Oshie scores against Finland, Brett Hull calls him a ‘two-headed monster’

After spending two games mixing it up with Team Canada, TJ Oshie has returned to his normal form as a playmaker and finisher. In the first period against Finland, Oshie scored his first goal of the World Cup of Hockey pre-tournament, one-timing a shot past Pekka Rinne from the slot.

Hockey Hall of Famer Brett Hull gushed about Oshie as a player during ESPN’s first intermission highlights.

“Well he’s a two-headed monster for anybody who has to play against him,” Hull said. “Jon Gruden would love him. He’s got the brains to play quarterback and he has the motor like a defensive end – he never stops. He’s one of the smartest guys in the NHL.”

Caps defenseman John Carlson also assisted on a second period Derek Stepan goal.

Karl Alzner, Karl Alzner’s family, and Tom Wilson were also in attendance.
