Just when a reasonable person might start to worry that the hockey season will never start, eternally delayed by the meaningless inspiring World Cup of Hockey, there is a glimmer of hope.
Caps season ticket holders around the D.C. area have started to receive their ticket packages for the 2016-2017 season, and they’re chock full of goodies.
The paper tickets feature four different images, each highlighting two Caps stars: Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Braden Holtby, TJ Oshie and John Carlson, and Matt Niskanen and Justin Williams.
In addition to the tickets, the packages include the season ticket card (which, along with a mobile ticket feature, has replaced the print-at-home option), “Club Red 365” lanyards, lapel pins featuring the Caps logo, and this year’s season ticket holder gift: a jersey patch noting the ticket holder’s tenure.
They’re pretty cool.
